  • The glass/film will be transparent when the power is on, and opaque when off (normal condition).

  • Yes. Ghost Glass Film is 99.99% UV protective in both transparent and opaque states.

  • Normally, the lead time for our film from order to delivery is 12-20 working days depending on the required film dimensions and quantities. We can provide an estimated lead time at the time of order.

  • Our sample kit includes a 6”x6” piece of Ghost Glass film that is pre-wired for you to apply to any clean glass surface. Each sample is connected to a battery-operated power supply with button control on/off.

  • Connecting the AC wires will require close attention to instruction and detail. In large orders, we supply the tools and accessories needed to attach the wires to the film.

  • No. The film has a self-adhesive layer which you paste onto the existing glass directly without any help of glue.

  • Electricity consumption: 0.5W/square foot

    Working voltage: 45-60VAC. The film can be operated using any standard electrical outlet. For larger projects, it is advisable to have the film hard-wired to the power source by a qualified electrician.

  • If the film is a little larger than the size you need, you can use sharp scissors or a blade to cut off the edge of the film in order to adjust the size. For large-size cutting, a special cutting table is required.

  • Yes! While blocking 99.99% of UV rays in both on and off states, our film will reduce HVAC costs.

  • The life span for our PDLC smart film is more than 50,000 hours on transparent when keeping the film left ‘on’ for 8 hours/day. If the film is kept on every day for year, the film will last approx 17 years.

  • For shipments, we use a standard tough carton box + roller. The film, depending on the length ordered, will ship via FedEx freight.

  • Cut to order, the maximum width is 5.9 feet. Length is unlimited.

  • For larger projects, an electrician, builder, or window professional will be needed. Residential windows and smaller projects can be self-installed.

  • Once installed, Ghost Glass Film is on-demand. Via remote control, the film turns on and off in less than one second. The remote control range for Ghost Glass is over 100 yards.
